On Friday, March 7, 2025, fifty-one LTHS Design & Drafting students competed in the 48th annual Joliet Junior College (JJC) regional of the Illinois Design Educators Association (IDEA) competition.
Students from schools across the JJC district/region participated in various Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Drafting contests, where they were given a design problem to solve within a 90-minute time limit. In team divisions, students worked on a long-term design project starting in January, presenting their solutions, drawings, designs, and prototypes to a panel of architects, engineers, college instructors, and students.
The top two finishers in each individual category and first-place teams qualified for the state competition at Illinois State University on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
🏅 Congratulations to Our Regional Winners!
