Dear LTHS Junior Families,

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19, junior students will not take the PreACT. All junior students should follow their regular Wednesday late start arrival and bus times.

In preparation for our rescheduled PreACT test for tomorrow, February 19, we experienced an unexpected complication with ACT Inc. During our final systems check this afternoon, we discovered that the passcodes that ACT provided for our students did not work. We immediately contacted a Senior Director at ACT, who then worked with the ACT Operations team to troubleshoot the problem.

Unfortunately, ACT was not able to provide passcodes in a timely fashion for students that would work for testing tomorrow. Therefore, we are canceling the PreACT test scheduled for tomorrow. With this uncertainty, we do not wish further inconvenience to students, families, or staff members. As a result of this change, juniors will have a regular late start day tomorrow, February 19, 2025.

We will continue to work closely with ACT and plan to contact educational leaders at the state level to advocate for improvements and ensure a better testing experience in April—for both our students and all students across the state.
