The Porter Players, Club Create, and Video Club have collaborated on The Second Annual Lockport Township High School Short Film Festival. Student directors from the Porter Players formed six groups and began writing their own original scripts over the summer and held auditions in September. After casting was completed, acting rehearsals and film lessons took place. By October the groups started filming their pieces. Staff sponsors from The Porter Players, Club Create, and Video Club assisted students from all three clubs while they filmed and edited their pieces. All films were wrapped by the beginning of the second semester. The teams spent winter break and all of January editing their films in preparation for The Second Annual Lockport Township High School Short Film Festival on January 31st, 2025.

Other short films created by Porters will be included in this screening, though the original six films that were worked on throughout this season will be submitted to a panel of judges. One among those six will be selected to represent LTHS at the IHSA Drama and Group Interpretation State Competition, which will take place from March 28th through March 29th, 2025. Please come celebrate all of the short films (and the students who worked so hard to create them) in this exciting second-annual short film festival!
