Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
Full access to the District's public records is available to any person as provided in the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. A request for inspection and/or copies of public records must be made in writing and may be submitted by personal delivery, mail, fax, or email. An inquiry that is merely a question and not a request to see or receive a copy of a specific record may be addressed by calling the District Administrative Center and asking to speak with the appropriate personnel on the topic of concern. The phone number for the District Administrative Center is 815-588-8100. General inquiries do not the filing of a FOIA request unless access to a specific record/document is sought.

Fees
For black and white copies, the district will provide the first 50 pages on letter or legal-sized copies at no charge. Additional copies will be provided for a fee of 15 cents per page. No fee will be assessed for electronic copies other than the actual cost of the recording medium. Fees will not include the cost of any search for and review of records or personnel costs associated with locating and reproducing records. Documents shall be furnished without charge or at a reduced charge if the district determines that waiver or reduction of the request qualifies under Section 6 of FOIA.
Description
Lockport Township High School District 205 is a high school district located in Lockport, Will County, Illinois. District 205 is organized under the laws of the State of Illinois for the purpose of providing its residents with school for ninth through twelfth grades for the education of all eligible children residing in the district.
District 205 is accountable to the U.S. Department of Education, the Illinois State Board of Education, and the taxpayers of the district.
District 205 is governed by a Board of Education consisting of seven members who are elected by residents and who volunteer their time to lead the district.
